HISTORY:
Emerson Search LLC was founded in 2008 by Jenny Pitkin Emerson, CPA with the support of her very understanding husband Steve Emerson. In 2009 she was joined by Adam Klitzke, CPA. The Emerson Search LLC team brings over 15 years of combined experience in both public accounting and the recruiting industry.

JENNY PITKIN EMERSON, CPA
As founder of Emerson Search, Jenny Pitkin Emerson has worked in the recruiting industry for seven years, specializing in accounting and finance at both large national firms and local boutique recruiting firms in St. Louis, Boston, and Denver. Prior to specializing as a recruiter, Jenny was an auditor with Deloitte & Touche.
Jenny is involved with various committees in the Denver community including the Young Professional Committee, Accounting Careers Committee, and the Editorial Board for the Colorado Society of CPA's. She is also on the Education Committee and is the Chair for the New Professional Committee at the Council of Petroleum Accountant Societies (COPAS). Jenny is one of the three organizers and co-founders of Next Generation of Oil & Gas Professionals (NGOGP) which is a collaboration of young and new professionals in the oil and gas industry including accountants, geologists, geophysicists, engineers, and landmen.
Jenny graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia with her Bachelor's and Master's in Accounting. She is married to Steve and they are expecting their first child - Courtney Ann Emerson - on April 1. Jenny enjoys snowshoeing, biking, and spending time in the mountains.

ADAM KLITZKE, CPA
Mr. Klitzke has over seven years of accounting, auditing (from KPMG LLP), and recruiting experience working with development stage and global companies in a wide range of industries including oil and gas, mining, technology, real estate, consumer products, financial services, and manufacturing. In his current position, Mr. Klitzke works with clients to understand their business mission, culture, risk, and plans for growth. He partners with his clients to strategically identify and recruit their most important resource, employees. Most recently, he was founder and owner of Peak Search Group. Prior to this, Mr. Klitzke was an Executive Recruiter for a large global recruiting firm in Denver, CO specializing in finance and accounting.
Mr. Klitzke serves as a Board of Governor and Vice President of Member Services with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He is also a member of the Colorado Society of CPA's and COPAS. Mr. Klitzke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Bradley University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). |
